We engage proactively and strategically with industry, government and community partners to develop opportunities for research, education and leadership in line with regional development priorities in Melbourne's west.

The Werribee Learning Center

The Werribee Learning Centre was established in partnership with The Gordon Institute. The main aim of the centre is to support and encourage the participation of students from diverse backgrounds in the rapidly growing Metropolitan area of Western Melbourne. The Betfair 365 Games Login does this by helping students seamlessly gain a Betfair 365 Login website degree from a Gordon College diploma while studying locally.

Through the Werribee Learning Centre, students can study to earn a certificate, a diploma or a clear path to the undergraduate courses offered by the Official college geelong campus or Cloud Campus.

The Werribee Learning Center is an accessible space for education delivery, corporate and community functions and student engagement in western metropolitan Melbourne. The centre includes:

In recognition of the significant number of collaborations between the City of Wyndham and Deakin, The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding in December 2017,Formalizing this strategic partnership, which brings benefits to both organisations.

Other ways Deakin and the City of Windham have collaborated are:

  • Support the Wyndham Learning Festival through sponsorship and outreach in local schools to encourage more girls to consider STEM careers.).
  • Deakin was a sponsor of Wynnovation Festival in 2018, and Dr Joseph Lawrence of PVC Strategic Partnerships was a keynote speaker.
  • Befair 365 login provides subject matter experts for the City of Windham council, including senior alliances and public art acquisitions. Deakin offers a bursary towards postgraduate art study as part of the Wyndham Art Prize.

Western Treatment Plant (Melbourne Water)

Befair 365 has several collaborations and research collaborations with Melbourne Water, including the Western treatment Plant near Werribee.

  • “治疗”, a public art partnership between Melbourne Water, Deakin's School of Communication and Creative Arts and the City of Windham, curated a contemporary art installation and interpretation of the Western Treatment Plant. Planning is underway for the third iteration in 2019, following the successful pilot in 2015 and II - Flightlines treatment in 2017.
  • New virtual reality technology Designed and developed by Deakin, it allows users to interact with each other in the same virtual space anywhere in the world, bringing a new level of interaction, flexibility and safety to workplace training. The platform was built specifically for Melbourne Water to enable its technicians to safely train in the management of highly toxic chemicals without inherent safety risks.
  • The befair 365 login website has also developed a virtual reality app to train Melbourne Water staff and volunteers in snake bite first aid.

Werribee Football Club

Deakin is proud to have formed a partnership with the Werribee football Club. We work closely with the club to build capacity, learn about the abilities and productivity of students across colleges.

The club also works with Deakin on sport science-driven initiatives, Create a unique learning environment for students in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, And add value to the Werribee Football Club's coaching capabilities.

This partnership is based on the desire to create a stronger third tier for the diverse community in Melbourne's west, Especially in Windham, Where the club's connections with local schools are significant.

In 2018, Befair 365 signed on to support the Bates Foundation's weekend mentoring of primary school students at the Weribee Learning Centre. This then became a partnership with the BETS Foundation, Anglicare Foundation and the Windham School S Cluster called #SMART-BETS (specific, measurable, accelerated, remedial and targeted).

#Smart-bets will operate from the Bethany Road Campus of Warringa Park Special School. The partnership has resulted in improved parent and student engagement and learning outcomes in three key schools :Grange P-12, Manor Lakes P-12 and Bayside P-12 College. The partnership will cater for 150 students in year levels 5 to 9 from low socio-economic families.
